I started doing drone roof surveys in early 2022 with no flying experience. I bought a cheap Xbox drone simulator for a few pounds, trained on it for a couple of days, then got a DJI Mavic. The controls were almost identical, so the transition was straightforward.

I contacted roofing companies and got my first chance. The early jobs were hard. I came back with large video files and photos and no proper way to present them. I sent clients a Google Drive link and an email with my observations.

That wasn’t good enough, so I learned Adobe InDesign to produce proper reports. It worked, but it was slow. Changing the contents page alone could take over half an hour.

I needed something faster and built for this work, so I started programming and developed this software. Reports are now straightforward. The client gets a professionally structured, professionally written report, and it takes minutes instead of hours.

It keeps getting better. You can straighten and crop photos and preview them before saving, pick roof details from dropdowns, put your own business name, logo and contact details on every report, and the front sheet fills itself in from your business details and your last job. You can dictate your findings, and Tidy up is there if you want AI to tidy the wording.
